Are there any fees for your service?

Generally, there is no cost for having us prepare written recommendations and general advice. If you choose to implement our suggestions and hire us to administer your portfolio, the financial institutions may pay us ongoing service fees. The exact details of how these fees are paid to us will always be fully disclosed to you in writing.

Are there minimum investment amounts?

No. We don't believe in requiring clients to have a minimum amount to work with us. However, we do stress the importance of having the client/advisor relationship being "right" for everyone involved. We go through this process in the early stages, during our first meeting.

Is my money safe with Evangeline?

This is the most important question we receive.

The Financial Services Industry is one of the strictest regulated industries in Canada. We strictly follow and often exceed industry standards. Your money is always invested “in trust” which means you and only you own it. We merely provide recommendations, help implement the strategy and then administer your account. Only you or those you legally designate can deposit or take money from your investment account regardless of your holdings.

Your investment holdings are carefully matched to your own profile. Your account is then carefully monitored and reviewed with you on a regular basis. You can access your statement online anytime and will receive regular statements in the mail from Evangeline and also from the investment management company, bank or insurance company that manages your investments.

If I wish to lodge a complaint, how do I do this?

Although fortunately, this is not a frequently asked question, you have the right to lodge a formal complaint.

In many cases, complaints are a result of a gap in communication. The first step is always to contact your advisor to express your concern. If this does not adequately address your particular concern, you can contact any member of our head office team and we will do everything possible to resolve the situation including taking it all the way to the CEO if necessary. In our experience, 99.99% of all issues can usually be sorted out with the correct information communicated between you and our team.
